Day 1 - DEPART
Depart US via best connections for our overnight flight with dinner arriving the next day. We will be served complimentary beverages, in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft.

Saturday, August 13
Day 2 – MADRID
On Arrival in Madrid we board our motorcoach for an orientation tour of Madrid passing the Gran Via Plaza de España, the Viaduct, Plaza Major, the Bull Ring, Independence and Cibeles Squares, the University, and the Paseo de la Castellana. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Sunday, August 14
Day 3 - AVILA
After breakfast this morning we drive to the charming village of Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa of Jesus, (1515 - 1582), one of the Church's greatest and most influential mystics. Here we also visit the Cathedral and the Convent of the Incarnation, where St. Teresa spent 20 years before beginning her reforms. This afternoon we return to Madrid. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Monday, August 15 FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION
Day 4- MADRID
Following our hot buffet breakfast this morning we are free to explore on our own using the wonderful Madrid public transportation system, today and throughout the week This afternoon, we attend World Youth Day Opening ceremonies at ________. Return to our hotel for overnight. Meals during WYD are provided by the WYD Committee
