Today more then
any time in history Christians are making pilgrimages to the
Holyland, Greece and Turkey in the Footsteps of The Apostle Paul,
they travel to Germany and Switzerland to explore the Reformation
Movement, they visit Rome where many of the first Christians died
for their faith, and they tour Egypt and Jordan, two of the Bible
Lands. They prefer to travel with their Pastors, their spiritual
leaders, who make the connection between the scriptures and the
history of the church and the sites visited. In the Holyland for
example, they see the Bible come alive as they read form it in the
Galilee and Jerusalem. Together with fellow members of their
congregations, they join cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, The
Mediterranean and the rivers of Europe. They travel in groups of
like faith, with friends for support, safety and greater value
with their Spiritual leaders for the opportunity to have time
together for prayer, meditation and teachings. Pilgrimage is the
opportunity to get a better understanding of the scriptures, to
return with new zest to be active in the churches, at home and at
work with refreshed spirituality.
