PRELIMINARY ITINERARY FOR WYD RIO – JULY 21 – 30, 2013 |
Sunday, July 21, 2013 |
| Day 1 - DEPART |
| Depart home cities via best connections for our overnight flight with dinner arriving the next day. We enjoy in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft. |

Monday, July 22 |
| Day 2–WYD WELCOMING |
| Arrive Rio and depending upon arrival time, enjoy a bus orientation tour of the city. Check-in and later today attend welcoming festivities throughout the city. Dinner on your own. |

Tuesday, July 23 |
| Day 3 – WYD OPENING |
| After breakfast this morning we join the WYD Opening and Mass in TBD |

Wednesday, July 24 – Friday, July26 |
| Days 4 through 6 – RIO WORLD YOUTH DAY |
| Depending upon final World Youth Day Programs following full American breakfast at our hotel, we participate each day in appropriate activities and return to the hotel. Dinners on our own or with WYD registration. |

Saturday, July 27 |
| Day 7 – RIO WORLD YOUTH DAY AND VIGIL |
| Following the World Youth Day activities of today, we return to the hotel. We then make our way to the site of the World Youth Day Vigil and Closing Mass officiated by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. We spend the night at the Vigil site. (Bring sleeping bags and ground covers to put the bags on if you wish, as you will be sleeping on grass, cement or tarmac.} |

Sunday, July 28 |
| Day 8 - WORLD YOUTH DAY CLOSING |
| Our World Youth Day celebration comes to a close today with the Holy Father’s Mass. At the conclusion of the event, we return to the hotel for free time. Overnight at our hotel and dinner is on our own |

Monday, July 29 |
| Day 9 - FREE DAY WITH OPTIONS |
| Today is free for shopping, personal adventure or optional excursions. Overnight at our hotel and dinner is on our own. |

Tuesday, July 30 |
| Day 10 – RETURN |
| This morning following breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our return flight to our home city arriving later today with memories of a lifetime. |
