England Pilgrimage Reviews & Testimonials

"Visiting Canterbury was fantastic. I had no idea it was such a large complex. I want the Catholic Church to take it back. No wonder so many pilgrims traveled there. Now I am one of them. The hotel in Oxford was great. All the sites were phenomenal; that is why I chose this trip. The Tour Manager, Alex, was excellent. He knows everything and is very patient."

"Many thanks for all the hard work putting together the England pilgrimage for me. The weather was great and the places we visited were equally 'sunny and warm'! Our Oxford hotel was Excellent. I would recommend for any group. Clean, well appointed, nice size rooms, and close to city center. The food was very good as well. Buses were very clean and modern. Our driver, Lynne, was a very fun, colorful, high- spirited driver. Alex, our Tour Manager, was excellent! On every level. A walking encyclopedia and was able to share his information in an understandable way. He was a practicing Catholic, so he was perfect for our group. He was approachable, easy to work with, helped with some desired rearranging on my part, and loved by the entire group. You would do well to use him often!"

"Praying at the St. Thomas Becket relics had a great impact on me! Our tour guide, Alex, was excellent. Very informative and he did a great job. We will have good memories of our time in the UK, mostly because Alex was so very good and Fr. Tim so comfortable to be with."

"Of all the churches visited, I liked the one in Canterbury the most. Mostly because it was smaller. I loved that I felt at home in every church visited. Alex, our guide, was AMAZING. I absolutely had a great time and was happy that I went on this pilgrimage. Thank you very much!"

"Viewing the St. Thomas Becket relic in Canterbury after seeing the Monastery he was murdered in was the most spiritually significant thing for me. Alex, our Tour Guide in London, was extremely knowledgeable on England’s history in all areas. He was also very thoughtful and went above and beyond to meet guests’ needs or interests. He gave my friend a book that they were talking about that she hadn’t read yet. Alex also bought some Scottish eggs for a couple of pilgrims that express an interest in them. Alex showed brotherly love to us all, a great human being. Beautiful to see in this world and we learned so much about England’s history."

"I felt that the daily Masses with Fr. Birney had the greatest spiritual impact. Alex, the tour manager, was a very good compliment. He emphasized the Catholic elements of every site."

"As a graduate student of history, I found walking the sites, such as Canterbury, Aylesworth, where Christianity was first rooted and where martyrs shed their blood to feed it, spiritually uplifting."

"Here are the top three things I found spiritually uplifting; 1) seeing the Canterbury Cathedral and the site of where St Thomas a Becket was murdered. And Mass at St Thomas of Canterbury Church and veneration of the relics of St Thomas a Becket & St Oscar Romero. 2) Masses at the Oxford Oratory & London (Brompton) Oratory and Westminster Catholic Cathedral. 3) Aylesford Abbey and venerating the relics of St Simon Stock. Our Tour Guide, Alex, was excellent and the main Bus Driver, Lynn, was also well done! The buses were in great condition and comfortable. The VOCO Spires hotel was an excellent choice for Oxford, and very walkable to dining sites. The large lounge area, friendly staff & happy hour was great! The breakfast selection at both hotels was very good!"

“It was great and look forward to working with you again in 2027 and plan a trip to either France or Spain.”

“My experience at Knock - the totality of the visit—the miracle itself, history details, opportunities of the things to see and do there, attending Mass celebrated by our parish priest at the miracle site is what stood out the most."
