Trip Details

Today, we depart Philadelphia airport to connect with our overnight flight aboard a wide-bodied jet. We enjoy in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast while aloft.
This morning, we arrive in Madrid and transfer to our short flight to Lisbon, where we are met by our Tour Manager and given a short orientation tour of Lisbon before our motorcoach ride to Fatima. We celebrate Mass at the church at Santarem, famous for its Eucharistic Miracle. We arrive in Fatima and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure before our “welcome” dinner and overnight at our hotel. In the evening, we join the nightly International Rosary Procession.
Today, our day is devoted to visiting the Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and the nearby hamlets of Aljustrel and Valinhos. We join the English language concelebrated Mass at the Chapel of Apparitions. After a break for lunch on our own, we visit the birthplaces of Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia, the Loca de Anjo and the Holy Way. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. In the evening, we again join the International Rosary Procession.
This morning, following Mass at the Shrine, we depart Fatima. We travel through the beautiful Spanish countryside, stopping along the way for lunch on our own before arriving in the thriving city of Valladolid in time for dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Today, we journey to Burgos to visit the beautiful Gothic Cathedral, the third largest in Spain (after the cathedrals in Seville and Toledo). Following our visit and Mass here, we continue northeastward along the Basque coast, taking a break for lunch on our own along the way before we cross the Spanish border into France. In the afternoon, we arrive in Lourdes in time for dinner and overnight at our hotel. In the evening, we join the nightly Torchlight Marian Procession.
This morning, we look forward to a day spent in devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes! We celebrate Mass at the Grotto, with a morning orientation visit to the Shrine and a walking tour of Lourdes, visiting Boly Mill, where St. Bernadette was born, the Cachot, (formerly used as a jail), where she lived during the apparitions, and then her parish church. This afternoon, following lunch on our own, we enjoy free time for private devotions, Eucharistic Procession, the Blessing of the Sick, or the legendary, healing waters of the miraculous Lourdes spring. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. In the evening, we once again join the Torchlight Marian Procession.
Today, we depart Lourdes and traverse the Pyrenees Mountains southward, entering northern Spain. We travel south to Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon. Upon arrival, we visit this city, which was founded by the Romans. Its luxuriant vegetation, with its many cascades and grottos make it a miniature Switzerland in the middle of arid upper Aragon. This city was also the birthplace of the famed artist, Goya, whose works grace many of the sites we visit. We break for lunch on our own before proceeding to The Shrine of St. Mary Magdalen. This beautiful shrine features numerous relics brought here from her tomb at St. Maximilian in Provence, France. Next, we visit the number one Marian shrine in all of Spain, the Pilar Basilica, which commemorates apparitions of Our Lady the Pilar to St. James the Apostle in 40 AD. We celebrate Mass here. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Today, we depart Zaragoza and arrive in Madrid for free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit highlights of Madrid, the beautiful capital of Spain, including the Gran Via Plaza de España, the Viaduct, Plaza Major, passing by the Bull Ring, Independence and Cibeles Squares, the University, and the Paseo de la Castellana. We celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Almaduna and then conclude our day at our hotel for our “farewell” dinner. Overnight at our hotel.
Early this morning, after breakfast, we celebrate Mass at the hotel before we transfer to the airport for our flight home with unforgettable memories to cherish always and a renewed sense of increased spirituality.
