Sample Itinerary

All of our Pilgrimages to the Holy Land can be customized to the desires of your particular group. Listed below is a sample itinerary to give you a better feel for a “typical” pilgrimage.

Day 1: Travel to Tel Aviv

Day 2: Tel Aviv

We make our afternoon arrival in Tel Aviv and travel to the hotel for dinner and to stay overnight.

Day 3: Tiberias

We start our journey with a beautiful drive along the Mediterranean to Caesarea to visit the Roman and Crusader remains. Our day continues to Mount Carmel, the site of Elijah’s confrontation with the priests of Baal. Next, we travel to Nazareth where we celebrate Mass at the Church of the Annunciation. We make our next stop at Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle and where married couples on our trip can renew their wedding vows. We will rest for the night at our hotel on the shores of the Galilee in Tiberias.

Day 4: Tiberias

We’ll board a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee and view the majestic mountains and sites of Jesus’ ministry. We will stop at Capernaum to view the remains of the village synagogue and St. Peter’s house. Next, we travel to the Mount of the Beatitudes to celebrate Mass in the beautiful gardens before we take a short walk to the sea to Tabgha and the Franciscan Church of St. Peter’s Primacy and the Benedictine Basilica of the Loaves and Fishes. We will also renew our Baptismal promises at the Jordan River.

Day 5: Jerusalem

We take a drive to Mount Tabor, the site of the transfiguration, to celebrate Mass. We stop at the Roman ruins at Beth Shean and travel though the Jordan Valley to visit Jericho and view the Mount of Temptation. Next, we make our entry into Jerusalem.

Day 6: Jerusalem

We start our day with a visit to the place of the Ascension and the Church of the Pater Noster. We will also taken in a breathtaking view of the City of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. We talk a walk down to Dominus Flevit Chapel where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and to the Garden of Gethsemane to celebrate Mass at the Church of All Nations. Our journey continues to St. Peter in Gallicantu, the house of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was held. We then head to the New City passing the Knesset and Hebrew University. We visit the Shrine of the Book, see the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Model City of Jerusalem in Jesus’ time, and Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born and Mary visited Elizabeth to say the Magnificat.

Day 7: Bethlehem & Dead Sea

Our day starts with a drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity to celebrate the Christmas Mass and to see the Manger and the famous star. We return to the Judean wilderness to visit Qumran, the home of the Essenes connected with John the Baptist and the Dead Sea Scrolls. We will also have the opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth.

Day 8: Jerusalem, Emmaus, Jaffa & Airport

We head to Mount Zion to visit the Church of Dormition and pray in the Upper Room. Then we visit the Western (Wailing) Wall and visit the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount. We will visit the Church of St. Ann, the Pool of Bethesda, Pilate’s Judgment Hall and the Arch of Ecce Homo. We prayerfully walk the Stations of The Cross along the Via Dolorosa concluding at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We then travel to Abu Gosh, the possible site of Emmaus, to celebrate our closing Mass where Jesus appeared on the first Easter Sunday. Our trip then heads to Jaffa where Peter had his rooftop experience before celebrating our Middle Eastern farewell dinner. We head to the airport to travel back home with a lifetime of memories.

Day 9: Travel Home to USA
